Welcome to Kalyani Oota by Viswanathan Pillai Kitchen Private Limited (VPK), a unique and innovative restaurant concept that combines the joy of delicious traditional veg-food with the preservation and revitalization of Kalyani’s, the ancient temple tanks and step wells. At Kalyani Oota, we are into community engagements with villager's & tourists - Vocal for Local - preserving our heritage and culture.

Our journey began with a passionate group of like-minded individuals who volunteer towards the need to rejuvenate Kalyanis. We understood that these sacred tanks are not solely reliant on rainwater; they require various water sources, including water flow naalas (canals), to ensure their longevity. VPK collaborates with volunteers towards clearing water paths, debrees, silt, dump yards, by doing so, we believe in social endeavour towards the cause of revitalizing the physical aspect of these tanks and wells but also preserving the spiritual significance and the "Jeevana Dhara" (flow of life) associated with them.

VPK as an organization, has taken the responsibility to engage volunteers and collaborate with local communities and government agencies in the Chikkaballapura region. Together, we identify ancient, historic Kalyani’s that are in need of restoration. By associating hand in hand with the localites and government bodies, we strive to bring back the glory and sanctity of these native sites.

INTRODUCING KALYANI OOTA

Inspired by the need to reach out to society and create awareness about the significance of Kalyani, we have established Kalyani Oota. This restaurant is the first of its kind, built in the concept of a step well, or as we call it, a "Banni Idu Neeru Spandana" (experience the convergence of water and food).

 

This fine dining concept of Kalyani Oota idea conceived at Yoga Dhwara, the gate of Sadhguru Sannidhi - Isha Arch, Chikkaballapura with the blessings of Adi Yogi - Isha at the foothills of "Kaurava Gunta" hillock.
